In 1990, after the grand opening at the Bagg Bonanza Farm Labor Day celebration, Ella (Bagg) Egenes, the last living child of F.A. and Sophia Bagg, asked if a book could be put together to honor her mother and other cooks of the farm. Ella expressed the fact that the women of Bagg Farm were unsung heroes. They did back-breaking work in the house and around the grounds. There were large amounts of food to prepaire, laundry, cleaning, and many extra chores. Ella's dream was to honor her mother, Sophica, her sisters Hattie, Florence, and Laura and here sister-in-law, Nina Bagg, and all the couks that worked on the Bagg Bonanza Farm. She offered the recipes from here mother's cook book and other family recipes.
